WHO SHOULD TAKE WORKOUT SUPPLEMENTS

Who Can Use Protein Powder?

The simple answer is...Everyone!

With all of the responsibilities and expectations placed on people these days, having enough time to properly eat nutritious foods becomes increasingly scarce. As competition for a better paying job gets more difficult, it makes sense to invest in Protein Powder. The conveniance protein shakes provide is unmatched and unrivaled in the market, which is justified with the 45.7 billion dollars spent worldwide annually on the supplements according to an article on Statista.com by M. Shahbandeh.

Just put a scoop of protein in a bottle and take it to work with you, and instead of snacking on junk food simply enjoy your healthy beverage as you carry out your daily tasks. Luckily, because of its ability to satisfy hunger you will not be tempted to eat out or eat more than you need to.

If you want to increase muscle mass while getting leaner and stronger, then protein powder is also the right supplement for you. Its ability to help nourish your muscles with nutrients they need to recover and grow is why it has become so popular among athletes. Thus, if you have a targeted amount of protein you need to attain each day and cannot do so by only eating food maybe because you:

- Are not able to eat such amounts
- Do not have the time to eat

Then protein powder is your solution.

There is a lot of misconception among older generations that protein powder is like steroids, and that cannot be furthest from the truth, so if you or anyone you know believes in this myth you've come to the right blog. The truth is, protein powder is one of the, if not the safest form of supplementation if taken responsibly, and in combination with a healthy diet; therefore, there is no reason preventing you from taking it if you decide to.

Who Can Use Creatine?

The first question you should ask yourself before buying creatine is if you are a responder or non-responder.

What is a responder or non-responder?
A responder is any person who sees results from the consumption of creatine while a non-responder is any individual that does not see any results from the consumption of creatine, no matter how long they take it.

An article on MyProtein.com by Billy Galipeault titled “Why Take Creatine As A Non-Responder?” shows that 25% of people who take creatine do not see any results from it due to their genetics. Thus, if you are a non-responder, there is no reason for you to take creatine.

How do you know if you are a non-responder? Simply use the supplement for a few weeks and if you do not notice weight gain and increase in strength, then you’re most likely a non-responder (considering you have an impeccable diet and put in enough work at the gym).

Now if you are a responder, you have a few options.

-Do you have any concerns or paranoia about your kidneys? Or does anyone in your family have kidney related diseases?

-Are you willing to commit to a clean diet, an extensive workout plan, and plenty of sleep?

If you relate more to the first option, then you should probably stay away from creatine, as no amount of benefit outweighs damaging your kidneys and putting your life at risk.

If you relate more to the second option, then you must stick to your commitment and follow through until your reach your goal. If you are ready to make that commitment, then go ahead and begin using the supplement.
